CNC Programmer

Experience the pride of working for an emerging division of an established company that is on the forefront of next generation microscopy products. AMG (Advanced Microscopy Group) is a quickly growing division of Westover Scientific, an established 13 year old company. AMG is focusing on designing, developing and offering innovative optical equipment for the life sciences market including research and diagnostic laboratories.

We are searching for an organized and experienced CNC programmer to assist with prototype development. This position is essential in getting new products brought to market as quickly as possible. We are not a job shop and our machinists specialize in working with our engineering team to produce prototype parts.

Our small-company environment at AMG allows each employee to see the value of their contribution to the betterment our company.

Job Duties:

- Develop and maintain two and three dimensional CNC programs and related files.
- Assist department management with improvements to existing practices and policies, including process documentation and occasional shop supervision
- Interface with the Engineering Department cooperatively to facilitate one off prototype projects.

Job Requirements:

- Experience with Siemen’s A2100 Acramatic control interface preferred
- Experience with Cincinnati Arrow mills
- Well organized and be able to manage multiple prototype projects simultaneously through completion.
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English – speaking, reading, writing
- 5+ years experience in machine shop environment, specifically programming CNC Machine Tools with 4th axis applications
- Experienced CAM software operator
- Willing to comply with safety practices pursuant to an environment with high noise levels, sharp tools, eye hazards, and up to 60 pounds lifting
